REENACTMENTS & FORT NEGLEY TOURS

EXPERIENCE LIVING HISTORY

Fort Negley, also known as St. Cloud Hill, was the site of the Civil War's definitive battle of Nashville. The Union victory that was declared, came about from the unimaginable sacrifices and triumphs of the United States Colored Troops (user) as well as the women and some children who were stationed there-whether by choice or by force, seeking basic human and civil rights for all.

The Living Histories Project seeks to zoom in on the lives of the USCT and amplify their voices through reimagining Historical accounts of the days leading up to the final victory at Fort Negley, which contributed greatly to the Juneteenth Holiday being born.

Specifically commemorating the Juneteenth Holiday, we will bring to the public, an immersive, interactive and experiential learning opportunity to accompany and enhance the Historical information presented at Fort Negley. Visitors will get to meet the Souls of St. Cloud Hill as it is channeled through a dynamic and entertaining acting troupe. The guests will journey from the bottom of the Fort, to the top, where the previously untold final moments will be witnessed and the memorial etched into their hearts and minds for years to come
